...but not all. I've had the 300 yard Longshot for a few years now and overall I am pleased with the performance. As a Gunsmith, I have a 100yd range just outside the shop...clear line of sight and I am quite rural. So this bit of technology saves me time in testing and sighting-in firearms. However, I did not give it 5 stars because at random times, and for what I can tell may be no apparent reason, I lose signal between the camera and the iPad (bought the iPad the same time I bought the Longshot). Now if it just dropped connection for a few seconds to a minute, that would be acceptable and still a 5 star product in my mind. Unfortunately, about 70% (generally) of losing signal, it does not reconnect and I have to head downrange with my iPad to reestablish connection. I have spent a good bit of time evaluating this issue but cannot seem to resolve it. Who knows, maybe it is some type of outside interference. Nonetheless, 4/5 stars. And If I had no issues, I would be upgrading to 600 yds.

Hello Bob,
There are a few factors that can cause this issue. When this happens please look in the app on the home page and see if it still says it is connected to the Marksman's Wi-fi, not another network. After about 15 minutes lag can build up, press the blinker shot locator to refresh the feed. The cameras are line of sight so please make sure the rear of the camera is facing you and not left/right or up/down. One more possibility is the iPad itself. iOS devices have weaker antenna's and we see much further distances with most Android devices. Upgrading to the LR-3 would eliminate this as the receiver is placed next to you at the shooting position within plenty of reach of your ipad. The good news too is that your Marksman is upgradable if you are interested. We strive for customer satisfaction so please give us a call if the above doesn't work. 281-205-8134.
could be easier to connect to. works good could use higher megapixels'

Thank you Jon for the honest review. If you have any issues connecting please don't hesitate to contact us. We would love to help. With all the different phones/tablets and the changes they make it does make it a little difficult on us regarding the connection and hopefully we will address that in future app updates. As far as the resolution I believe you may just need to place the camera closer to the target and use the pinch to zoom feature as our cameras are 4MP which should be plenty high. Any higher and we start reaching the bandwidth limitations and it could increase lag on the video. It's a delicate balance. We appreciate your feedback and again if you need any support please let us know.
